Be Prepared

I love this lookbook for Burberry F/W 2010/2011 photographed by Mario Testino. The idea of tons of buttons and lots of shearling make me excited to start putting together my fall wardrobe, if only it wasn't so far away.

I am going to be studying abroad in London come fall and have begun the process of prepping my wardrobe for the occasion. With limited space to pack all of my things, I'm having to be quite picky about exactly what to bring. One thing on my list for sure? Oxfords. Here are some of my favorite menswear-inspired shoes.

Ballerina Chic

I don't often find many occasions to wear tulle, but when I do I chomp at the bit. I'm thinking maybe this comes from being a ballerina in my adolescent years and my longing to re-live my childhood. I paired my F21 skirt and corset with a bebe belt, House of Harlow ring, vintage clutch and Steve Madden booties for a nice night out.
Have a great weekend, see you back on monday!
Summer Lovin': Day and Night Looks
posted on: 6.24.2010
One of my favorite things about summer is wearing bright, clean colors and lots of white. I'm loving aqua at the moment, so I put together a day and night outfit with a great pop of my new favorite color.

A Shore Thing

Having grown up in Hawaii I think I take for granted the gorgeous scenery that surrounds me everyday. Each time I come home for the summer I like to take a nice drive when I have some time on my hands. I had a free afternoon so I drove around and took some photos. I'm wearing a F21 corset and bag, Juicy shorts, DIY necklace and Kate Spade sandals.
For those who are interested these photos were taken at Diamond Head beach.

I've been dying to wear these Pour La Victoire boots out but was waiting for a day that wasn't obscenely hot. Enter today, when I chose to wear them out paired with a belted crochet sweater and denim shorts.
Plaid and Knee-Highs

I love the chunky sweaters and structured coats of the pre-fall season. Taryn Davidson takes Catholic school-girl to an entirely new level in this Elle UK spread, making geek chic look fashion-forward.

I bought this J Crew skirt the other day mainly because I thought it had the perfect balance of volume and body consciousness. It's lightweight and perfect for summer, so I decided to wear it out for a day filled with smoothies and shopping by the pier.

Egypt-Bound

I'm loving all of the tribal-inspired pieces this season so I put together a collage of what I like to call my Egyptian-inspired favorites. I think the Alaia flats are killer, so I'm going to take those as inspiration and look for a steal.
What do you think, would you shop this trend?
Bow Tied

I went to a cocktail party last night and decided to flaunt my Forever 21 top in all its sequined bow tie glory. Paired with a high-waisted black skirt, bandeau top and black peep toe pumps I thought I would take some photos of my outfit on the way there.
